Rowing

Taranaki’s home of Rowing is at the Clifton Rowing Club in Waitara. They cater for beginner to advance rowers, come and try it out!

Students wanting to represent the school at National competitions need to connect with the Clifton Rowing Club. Clifton Rowing Club caters for beginners to the sport and encourages High School students to try it out. If you’re 14 or over, keen to row competitively or non-competitively, or would like to be a coxswain, then please reach out to the club.

The competitive rowing season starts in September/October and runs through the summer months.  Clifton Rowing Club runs Open House sessions during the Winter months (generally held on a Sunday) which is the best time to learn to row.
