NPGHS caters to both competitive and social hockey players. 

The 1st XI competes in the National 32-team Federation Cup/Marie Fry Tournament. We have Premier and Championship School grade teams, two teams in the Premier Grade and two teams in the Championship grade, Senior White and Junior A XI. We usually have 1-2 teams, Junior B XI and a Social team, who play in a mixed grade. 

We also compete in the Taranaki Hockey Premier and Championship Grade Club competition.

Venue: Games are played at Hobson Street turf and in Stratford at the TET Stadium.

Uniform: Each team is supplied a uniform. Goalkeepers are supplied Goalie gear if required. All gear is returned after the season. Players must have their own mouth guards, shin guards, shoes and socks.

Cost: 

• Fees for hockey are approximately $240 /player and cover affiliation to Taranaki hockey, turf hire for trainings and a contribution to replacing equipment.
• NZSS Federation Cup fees are around $1,100 p/player depending on location.
