Our Year 9 classes had a fantastic time on their Outdoor Education Activity Days at TOPEC.

We had a great programme of activities and everyone tried so hard and a lot of students going outside of their comfort zone. This year we were lucky to have our Chilean Exchange students join in the fun and experience Outdoor Ed kiwi style.

Students had a go at:
• River safety and Rafting
• Adventure based learning - inside and outside (Minefield bucket pyramid, Rob the bank; pot of gold, Bomb squad)
• Rock climbing
• Bouldering wall challenges
• Modified Rogaine course which included stretcher carries, blindfolding, and a whole lot of teamwork
• Abseiling off the bridge  
• Bush navigation
• Hut building
• Flying kiwi
• Games of touch lead by the Year 13 students
• Campfires and Marshmallows
