Basketball trials are held in Term 1 each year in preparation for the season which is played across Term 2 and 3. Our competitive Junior A and Senior A/Prems teams all play on a weeknight (Tuesday or Wednesday) in the New Plymouth Basketball Association Club competition.

The junior teams also play in the Taranaki Secondary Schools’ league on a Thursday evening at the participating schools stadiums. As this requires travel on a weeknight, entry into this league is dependent on parent support for transport.

Our Prem team also attends the NZSS Basketball qualifiers competition in August which is held over multiple days and typically outside of the region. Depending on how the team goes at qualifiers, there is the national tournament that follows in September.

Training: Varies from team to team.

Venue: NP Competition is played at the TSB stadium and Youth grade played in school stadiums around Taranaki.

Uniform: All playing uniforms are provided. We encourage students to buy the school regulation hoodie.

Cost:   NPBBA League  $150 /player
              Secondary School league  $70 /player
              NZSSS competitions approximately  $800 /player
