Waka Huia
Our Waka Huia are named after famous waka.
All the waka have historical connections to Taranaki through tribal interactions and they were great ocean-going canoes that were used in the migrations that settled New Zealand. Each student is placed into a Waka Huia and will participate in activities that support their Waka Huia such as Swimming Sports, Athletic Sports, Waka Huia Plays and Fun Run.
Kawai Huia
Every student is a member of a Kawai Huia Group of their year level. Kawai Huia groups meet 4 days a week to offer pastoral care and monitor attendance.
